I doubt many characters have changed as many times as Kylie has. While Taryn has certainly changed in her own right, her transformations were visual, while Kylie's entire character experienced a massive overhaul since her birth in '95. Initially she was almost too kind, she filled the role of "best friend" ... and now she has turned completely, becoming rather high-maintenance and even a little bitchy. But she's the type I love to hate, and she keeps the story fresh as it plays out ....

*sigh* I'm half-ashamed to even put this picture up, but ... it truly shows Kylie's beginnings as a pseudo-Jubilee. Flourescent colors ahoy. (Not to mention Very Bad Feet.)

Still the same Jubilee-infused Kylie as the first, only in portrait form. Note the borrowed sunglasses and earrings.

I can only blame this one on American comic books. Bad proportions aside, the war with hair-length begins, and it's the last we ever see of the goggles. But she's dressed like Taryn...

The first cast picture. A little too buff, if you ask me (so's everyone in this pic tho'), and she looks familiar ... just not like Kylie.

"2413" had always been a comic-related project for me, complete with superheroes. Here's Kylie as a pyrokinetic and a costume fit for Emma Frost.

... and after looking at a bit too much Gen-13. Why, I still don't know. But the light blue becomes cemented here as "Kylie-blue".

Pulling styles from the hallways of school as I attempt to make Kylie a little more "chic" and European.

My "animation" class in high school was really more a charaDes/comics class than anything else (fun!!); this is the sketch I turned in as one of five original character designs. (I hate this picture.)

sketchnotes: "new look this fall - sculpted 40's curls a la "Lucky" ... "vintage" look but with chunky sandals". Kylie never escaped the chunky sandals.

It was then that I realized that Kylie was very very similar to Buffy's Cordelia Chase...

...so I used Charisma as reference for this pic in my attempted charaDes notebook. I like the attitude, but something about it isn't quite ... Kylie.

Thought about transposing my characters into a fantasy setting, which made Kylie a Water-based noblewoman. I adore the gown.
